FHA Title I

With an FHA Title I Home Improvement Loan, you may borrow up to $7,400 for terms from 6 to 60 months at a very low, fixed interest rate. 

FHA Title I Home Improvement Loans are to be used exclusively for repair, alteration or improvement of an existing structure.
Examples of eligible FHA Title I home improvements include: wall-to-wall carpeting, fencing, flooring, painting, plumbing, windows and much more.


Here are FHA Title I Home Improvement Loan benefits:
  • No lien is taken on the improved property
  • No equity or appraisal is required
  • Enjoy a low fixed rate for the full term of the loan
  • Properties may be owner or non-owner occupied
  • No fees
  • You may make improvements to any of your property located in the U.S.

No work can begin until the loan papers have been signed and the necessary documentation has been submitted for the completion of the loan.
 
Ineligible Items:
  • Products of improvement that do not become a part of the real property.
  • Products of improvements that are considered luxury items such as barbecue pits, exterior hot tubs/saunas, kennels, landscaping, swimming pools or satellite dishes.
